Join us for the full-blown Amaru experience while keeping a close eye on the action perched up at the Chef’s Counter.
Keeping in line with our holistic style of service, the chefs will also be serving some of the beverage pairings too!
Please note that reservations on the Chef’s Counter require one of our pairing options to be taken.

ACCESSIBILITY
Amaru is wheelchair accessible. Please advise us of required accessibility when making a reservation.
BOOKING POLICY
Our tables operate on a 2.5 hour seating time for all dinner reservations before 6.30pm. Please be aware that these tables may be re-booked. Contact the restaurant to request an extended dining time if required.
We understand delays may arise, please let us know in the instance you may be late to a reservation. We cannot guarantee an extended reservation time, but will always do our best to accommodate.

Due to the nature and structure of our restaurant, we require a minimum of 48 hours notice for any reduction of guest numbers or cancellations.
​
Any changes or cancellations made within 48 hours will incur a charge of $320 per person/per seat reduced. The fee will be charged to the credit card on file.

CELEBRATIONS
Please let us know by the time of your booking if you are celebrating a special occasion. For Food and Safety reasons, we can't allow external cakes to be brought in but we can happily provide a small cake/candle at the end of your meal.

We also sell vouchers for those wishing to gift a dining experience at Amaru.
​
CHILDREN
Children are more than welcome at Amaru but please be aware that they will be dining on the full tasting menu as we do not offer a children's menu.

CORKAGE
As a fully licensed venue, we are unable to allow BYO.
​
DIETARY REQUIREMENTS
We require prior notice of any dietary requirements to properly accomodate modifications. We may not be able to cater without advanced notice.
Unfortunately we cannot cater for vegan diners.

Please note that due to the nature of our menu, any alternate dishes will be from our vegetable-based menu - we do not have any additional fish or meat dishes.

We recommend smart casual attire.

EARLY ARRIVALS
We appreciate your excitement to dine at Amaru. However, we cannot guarantee that tables will be ready for early arrivals. As we are a small and intimate restaurant, we do not have space for early arrivals to wait inside for their reservation. If you find yourself in the area beforehand please feel free to drop in for a drink at our sister venue, Auterra Wine Bar - open from Wednesday to Sunday.

TRAVELLING TO AMARU
BY TRAM: Number 6 tram (Moreland to Glen Iris) departing from Melbourne CBD. Hop off at stop 42 on Huntingtower Rd.

BY TRAIN: Armadale Train Station is only 6 minutes away by foot. Catch the Frankston Line from Flinders Station.
​
BY CAR: On street 2 hour parking is available on High Street.

SERVICE CHARGE AND SURCHARGES​
All card transactions will incur a merchant fee of 1.5% to 2.7% including all tap and pay transactions.
​
A 15% surcharge will be applied on all public holidays.
​
A 10% service charge will be added to the final bill for any groups of 6 guests and above.​​
